Welcome! The 2,500-square-foot fitness center at the South Bellevue Community Center features state-of-the-art treadmills, bikes, elliptical trainers, strength training machines, free weights and other popular fitness equipment.
We offer a variety of fee options for use of the Fitness Center - daily drop-in fee, 20-visit pass, or a monthly fitness pass (best value for regular users). Details are found in our Fitness Center brochure and in the 'Fitness Passes' section below. Orientations are required prior to using the Fitness Center. See the Orientation schedule in the tab below.

Fitness Center Orientation - Required
All new participants are required to attend a Fitness Center Orientation PRIOR to their first work out.
The Orientation will last approximately 15-20 minutes and covers important safety information, policies, procedures, and offers a chance to meet the staff. Those new to exercise are invited to stay after the Orientation for additional help with proper use of equipment or to ask any questions. No registration is required. Simply arrive at one of our scheduled Orientation times:
Mondays: 6:15 p.m.
Tuesdays: 9:30 a.m.
Thursdays: 6:30 p.m.
Fridays: 11:30 a.m.
Saturdays: 10 a.m.

Ready to purchase a pass? Our Monthly Fitness Pass is the best value for regular users. Once you have attended the required orientation, fill out the appropriate forms below and bring them to South Bellevue Community Center:

It does not need to be signed or returned to SBCC, but please read the questions carefully, answer them honestly and consider the recommendations for your personal safety. Our certified instructors provide fun, friendly and results-driven classes and many are free for first time participants! Exercise-at-Home Resources
SBCC Fitness Center staff have created lists of exercises that can be done at home without equipment or with minimal equipment.
- The first is a list of exercises sorted by muscle group.
- The second is a list of exercises as a substitute for the machines you’ve used in our Fitness Center.

Age Restrictions
The Fitness Center is for adult use, as well as youth ages 13-17.
- 13–17 year-olds are allowed to use all available equipment after attending an Orientation and completing the teen and parent waivers (find waivers in the 'Fitness Passes' tab. No appointment necessary. Please arrive at one of the scheduled Orientations:

Teens 13-17 may use the Fitness Center after attending an Orientation and completing the teen and parent waivers. - What amenities are available?
Lockers, a changing area and showers are available in the restrooms on the lower level. Please provide your own lock, toiletries and towel. The South Bellevue Community Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. - Do you offer other professional services such as personal trainers?
Yes, we have two trainers available to meet with you for a free 30-minute initial consultation. Contact your choice of trainer directly. View Personal Training & Assessment Brochure. - What should I wear and bring?
Dress in exercise apparel such as sweats. The room can feel cool until you are warmed up, so dress in layers. Please wear clean athletic-type shoes. Shirts that cover the torso are required. For women, please no sports bras as outerwear. Bring a water bottle, lock, headphones, towel and toiletries if you are showering at the Center. - What are the least busy days/times?
These are the quietest days/times in the Fitness Center:
Monday - Friday: 6 - 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday - 12 p.m.- 5 p.m. - Is there staff on site to help me get started?
Yes! Participants new to working out are always welcome. Following the orientation, you may ask for additional personal assistance at any time, provided we are not busy helping others. The Fitness Center is staffed the majority of operational hours to provide assistance with use of the equipment. If we are unable to assist you immediately, we will schedule you for a "Fitness 1-on-1" help session. "Fitness 1-on-1" is our commitment to make sure you are familiar with all the basics of exercise. For more specific, personal assistance, personal trainers are also available to work with you for an additional fee. - What other fitness/sport related activities are available?
Fitness Pass holders may participate in the drop-in gym activities at no additional charge. These include badminton, basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. There are many fee-based fitness classes at the Center including Active Adult Fitness, Cycling, Cycle/Stretch, Jazzercise, Martial Arts, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, and more. Schedules are linked below.
