King County pauses debris drop-off at all King County transfer stations
King County is pausing storm debris drop-off at all King County transfer stations from Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1. Their facilities are closed on Thanksgiving. King County needs to temporarily suspend accepting storm debris due to an overwhelming amount of storm debris and garbage entering their transfer stations. King County says this pause is critical in being able to keep transfer stations operational over the holiday weekend.
King County is tentatively planning to resume free wood debris drop off at Bow Lake, Cedar Falls, Enumclaw, Factoria, Shoreline, and Vashon facilities on Monday, December 2. King County will reevaluate the free collection end date of December 9 as conditions continue to evolve.
