Bomb cyclone storm impacts

A bomb cyclone windstorm lashed Bellevue the night of Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing down trees throughout the city and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Beware of Utility Scams During Emergencies

Bellevue Utilities will typically contact you in advance if they need to access your home for repairs or inspections. If you are unsure, call Bellevue Utilities at 425-452-6932 to confirm if someone is supposed to be at your home.

Yard Debris Collection after Wind Storm

Now through Friday, Dec. 6, Republic Services will collect up to 192 gallons (six 32-gallon units) of extra yard debris in bins, bags and bundles during your regular collection day at no additional cost. King County residents can drop off tree limbs, and other woody debris without paying the standard yard waste fee at the Bow Lake, Cedar Falls, Enumclaw, Factoria, Shoreline, and Vashon facilities. To celebrate the completion of the Factoria Boulevard Stormwater Improvement Project, the City of Bellevue is hosting "Visit and Shop Factoria Day" to thank the community, businesses and project partners for their cooperation and involvement in completing this critical piece of infrastructure to prevent future flooding along Factoria Boulevard.

The Factoria community is invited to attend and hear remarks from city leadership and the project team while discovering local businesses.

Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Where: Factoria Village Parking Lot (look for the white tent)
