Sextortion is real and it’s a crime. Bellevue police see an alarming number of juveniles who fall victim to it. It’s blackmail. The online perpetrator typically threatens to expose sexual images to get the victim to do something they don’t want to like send more photos or pay money. Many times, the victims feel embarrassed, helpless and duped. Help IS available! Check out the resources for both victims and parents.
