A large concrete pour for expansion of Lincoln Square will require closures of Bellevue Way and Northeast Fourth and Sixth streets the last weekend in January. The following lane and street closures will be in place from 1 a.m. Saturday, January 31, through 9 a.m. Sunday, February 1 (map):
- Bellevue Way northbound and southbound from just south of Northeast Fourth Street to Northeast Eighth Street. Local access only will be provided southbound from Northeast Eighth Street. (The northbound curb lane will remain closed as late as 4 p.m., Sunday);
- Northeast Fourth Street eastbound and westbound from Bellevue Way to 106th Avenue Northeast;
- Northeast Fourth Street eastbound from 102nd Avenue Northeast (Bellevue Square entrance) to Bellevue Way; and
- Northeast Sixth Street eastbound and westbound from Bellevue Way to 105th Avenue Northeast
During these closures, drivers will be detoured to adjacent streets and electronic message boards will provide directional messages.
These extensive closures are needed for safety and to provide adequate space for trucks and pumps to deliver approximately 14,000 cubic yards of concrete to the bottom of what will be the south parking garage for the Lincoln Square Expansion.
