King County is pausing storm debris drop-off at all King County transfer stations from Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1. Their facilities are closed on Thanksgiving. Bomb cyclone storm impacts

A bomb cyclone windstorm lashed Bellevue the night of Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing down trees throughout the city and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. With a high wind warning from the National Weather Service in effect, the Downtown Ice Rink is closed today (Thursday). The rink will reopen Friday at 3 pm.

The Weather Service issued the warning Wednesday for Washington, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday. In King County, the stiffest winds were expected in the afternoon, with possible 60-mph gusts.

As of 2 p.m., less than 100 outages had been reported in Bellevue, according to Puget Sound Energy. If you do lose power, report it to PSE.
