If you want to have a say about what transportation projects are built in the future, three upcoming open houses and an online survey for the city’s Transportation Facilities Plan (TFP) update provide good opportunities.
The TFP includes candidate projects that potentially could be funded in the next 12 years. To weigh in, you’re invited to attend one of the following open houses, where there will be displays and city staff available to discuss projects.
- Tuesday, March 20, 5-7 p.m., City Hall, Room 1E-108, 450 110th Ave. NE
- Thursday, March 22, 5-7:30 p.m., South Bellevue Community Center, Room B, 14509 SE Newport Way
- Friday, March 23, 12:30-2:30 p.m., Crossroads Mall, by Mini City Hall, 15600 NE Eighth Street
Another option to comment is an online survey and interactive map that is scheduled to be available beginning Friday, March 16, and remain live through 5 p.m., Monday, April 16. A link to the survey will be posted on the TFP webpage, which also includes background material about the plan.
The TFP is the city’s intermediate-range transportation planning document. It contributes to the development of the Capital Investment Program, a schedule of major public facility improvements that will be implemented over a seven-year period. The TFP is updated every two to three years.
