At 7:32 p.m., Monday multiple calls to emergency dispatch reported a fire in the Chimney Condominiums, a downtown condominium complex on the 100 block of 100th Avenue Northeast.
Bellevue firefighters arrived to find the 21-unit complex with heavy smoke and fire showing. Crews combatted the fire by utilizing multiple hose lines, ventilating the structure and searching for occupants. There were 25 fire department apparatus on scene.
Firefighters rescued four occupants from the building. Two had minor burns and smoke inhalation, and two were in cardiac arrest. Firefighters and paramedics were able to attain pulses on the two arrest victims.
Red Cross, the department chaplain and other fire personnel assisted displaced residents from the condominium.
The complex is considered a total loss at this time. Firefighters were still investigating the cause of the fire Tuesday morning.
