If you’re interested in learning more about electric vehicles, check out the National Drive Electric Week event on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 4-7 p.m., at the south end of Downtown Park, 10201 NE Fourth St.
More than 30 electric vehicles have been registered for the free event, representing 18 models by manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Ford, Fiat, Kia, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen. Attendees will also have opportunities to:
- Take a test ride in an electric vehicle;
- Hear from Mayor John Chelminiak and learn about Bellevue's commitment to accelerating and integrating the adoption of zero emission vehicles;
- Chat with owners about their experiences and the advantages of going electric; and
- Ask questions of representatives from organizations such as Plug In America, Puget Sound Energy and the Seattle Electric Vehicle Association.
For the second year in a row, the City of Bellevue is hosting the event, which is presented by Plug In America, the Sierra Club and Electric Auto Association, and sponsored by Nissan LEAF.
