Sound Transit’s contractor will close three lanes on Bellevue Way Southeast from Saturday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 a.m. through 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10. Bellevue Way will be reduced to one northbound lane and access to Interstate 90 will be prohibited.
The eastbound I-90 ramp to Bellevue Way will also be closed. Westbound I-90 to northbound Bellevue Way will be maintained. Closures are needed to continue utility work. Commuters are asked not to drive through neighborhoods to reach their destination.
Other East Link construction-related closures include:
- On Saturday, Sept. 9, 112th Avenue NE will be closed to southbound traffic between NE 4th Street and NE 6th Street from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Details and map are contained in Sound Transit’s Sept. 5 Construction Alert.
- PSE crews continue their utility work along portions of 130th Avenue Northeast, Northeast Spring Boulevard and 136th Place Northeast. Expect reduced travel lanes and temporary parking restrictions and noise from trucks and heavy equipment. This work began in July and is expected to last approximately five months. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Weekend work is tentatively scheduled for mid- to late-September at the intersection of Northeast 20th Street and 136th Place.
