Utilities crews completed repairs Wednesday to a water main at Southeast Ninth Place and 121st Avenue Southeast that broke Tuesday evening. No residential customers lost water service, but 121st Avenue was closed from about 6 p.m. Tuesday to about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, when temporary repairs to it were complete.
Detour signs were being removed Wednesday afternoon. Crews will return to complete permanent street restoration, but at this time the street is safe for vehicle access.
Crews worked through the night to isolate the leak.
Tuesday's water main break was the third in Bellevue in three days. The breaks were in different locations, and affected relatively small areas. There appears to be no connection between them or systemwide issue.
We appreciate residents' patience and understanding.
